Jade's baby shower

Jade's baby shower organized by my friends at Aldergrove SDA Church was held on evening 31st May. It was 'ladies only' and Jade was welcomed and showered with lot of gifts by the ladies.

(Sorry, my friend Grace took these photos and there were mostly blurred)

My friend Crystal was the leader of the shower event:

Another friend, Tina was the gift registrar and my mum-in-law holding Jade while i was busy revealing the gifts:

so many food that day including mango pudding and pinapple cookies made by Devlyn (she is a great cook). This cake was sponsored by my MIL:

And this was Jade's photo with the other babies at the church:

Jade and her toys

I don't buy many baby gear and toys for Jade, i just bought basic stuff to accomadate 'our' needs :D

As at to-date she only has few toys - mostly are gifts from various people.

1st toy i bought for Jade was this rattle - turned out she just like to see the octopus face LOL..

1st gear (other than the stroller) that i bought for Jade is the Infant to Toddler rocking chair. Cost us about $40 (after exchange rate) coz we bought it @ Sears, Bellingham, Washington, USA.

We used this for her to sit comfortably while watching me doing errands inside the house - she loves watching me cooking, cleaning up the house, soaking in the bath tub etc. And sometime i used this rocking chair for her to nap:

This photo was taken at the 1st time Jade managed to pull the musical hanging toy on the rocking chair (2 weeks ago??):

2nd gear was the Gym activity that Jade can use for tummy time, on her back and when she will be sitting on her own in the future.

Baby grow up very fast, so i think there is no need to shower her with many toys.

This frog toy is one of Jade's favorite - she plays with this toy almost anytime while she is awake & alert. It is a gift from our senior friends, Don & Bridget.

Spring in Victoria

Snap these photos while in Victoria Island:

And this buoy reminds me about my favorite Marine Law subject for my LLM degree in UM:

Mother's Day celebration 2009

Where & how we celebrated it? We went to Victoria Island!!

On 09th May, we stayed 1 nite at the Best Western Hotel downtown Victoria. To my surprise, that hotel is really, really great! Not so fancy, but considering the location right at the heart of the town plus weekend nite, the price was still reasonable!

A Suite room complete with kitchen, dining table, living room with big screen tv and full bathroom. That was 1 of the best weekend getaway that i can ever imagine for my Mother's Day celebration.

On Sunday, we went for sightseeing around Victoria and Sidney town too:

(There was a cruise ship docking at the port):

(we're sitting at the waterfront bench):

(walked under full blossom trees):

Seen many boats...

And i fell in love with this property:

life as a new mother...

ya..so far so good, no sleep-deprive malah kdg2 terlebih tidur pun ada hehehe

does my life change since i got Jade? yes, definitely!

now Jade is my priority e.g when we go out shopping - her stuff will be #1.

occasionally, i got my 'me time'...usually i used that time by soaking for long time in the bathtub with jazucci on or i went for groceries shopping.

How about my weight? I still have extra kgs to lose...just before i deliver Jade, i was weighted 78.8 kg!!! That was a record for me. Then after deliver, went down to 74kg.

A month later, down to 67 kg and sadly, i only lose 2 pounds since i came home in April.

Yesterday, i weighted 147 pounds (my weight in 6 months pregnancy) - yeah...need to lose 21 pounds to get my pre-pregnancy weight!

Would i get my pre-prego weight before Jade's 1st birthday?? We will know and I will keep you guys posted!

But for now, i just enjoys my new motherhood lifestyle - hate to see this extra kgs on me but when i see Jade and how fun it is to play with her, to dress her like a doll, to nurture her, i know that it is all worth it!!! :D

Polson Park, Vernon

On Sabbath afternoon, me, hubby & Jade walked at the park close to the hospital. It was quite chilly - it's was the beginning of Spring season anyway!!!

See...flowers are blooming, some just coming out from the ground...

Some trees are now look greenish while others still brownish...

And the birds and ducks were 'lepak'ing at the park...

Vernon Trip

Two weeks ago (10th-13th April) we went up to Vernon to visit Grandma Bergey. She was in the hospital. We just spent time with her for few days (she was discharged on Sunday) but few days ago, i heard she is now back in the hospital. Grandma i think in her 80's (close to 90)...live long Grandma!!!
